School Houses
RISU students belong to one of four houses that compete across sport, academics, and culture throughout the year. Expanding inter-house competitions in 2026–27 is one of Dario’s six commitments.
Ssese
Named after the Ssese Islands in Lake Victoria — known for spirit, creativity, and a strong showing in every event.
GreenKyoga
Named after Lake Kyoga — competitive, disciplined, and proud of their record in academics and athletics.
BlueRwenzori
Named after the Rwenzori Mountains — tough, determined, and always showing up when it matters most.
RedImpala
Named after the impala — fast, agile, and known for their energy in sport and their voice in cultural events.
Yellow🏆 House points tables and competition results will be updated here during the 2026–27 school year.
Sport
Football
Competitive fixtures against other ISAK member schools, plus inter-house tournaments. Boys and girls teams compete.

RISU competes in ISAK swimming galas. A whole-school swimming gala is also one of the 2026–27 goals.

Regular training sessions and inter-school matches. Both boys and girls teams participate in ISAK competitions.

Drama & Theatre
School productions celebrating the diverse talent across all year groups. Drama is a big part of the RISU calendar.

IGCSE Programme
Year 10 & 11 students follow the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, with a wide range of subjects available.
Years 10–11Sixth Form
Year 12 & 13 students prepare for university with A-Level and equivalent programmes.

Dario’s commitment: older students supporting Year 11s through IGCSEs. Launching Term 1, 2026.

Computer science across year groups. An inter-house coding challenge is planned for 2026–27.
