The Ideas Board is open — and you're already using it

A few days in and ideas are already coming in. Pizza at break. More study spaces. A whole-school swimming gala. Peer tutoring. A talent show. I've read every single one.

This is exactly what I wanted — not a website where I talk at you, but a place where you actually reach me. We don't start until August, but every idea submitted between now and then goes directly into what we plan for Term 1. The earlier the input, the better prepared we arrive on day one.

Keep them coming. Anonymous is fine. Short is fine. Even if you think it's obvious — send it.

What I'm doing between now and August

People keep asking what a Head Boy does before term starts. Honestly? A lot of listening and planning.

Right now I'm reading every idea that comes in on the board, going through the poll results, and using all of it to build a proper plan for Term 1. I want to arrive in August with a clear priority list, not figuring it out as I go.

I'm also starting to think about the Student Voice Forum format. My aim is for the first one to happen within the first two weeks of Term 1. If you have thoughts on what that should look like, the ideas board is the place.

We won. Now the real work starts.

Results are in. It's official. And the first thing I want to say is: thank you — genuinely. Whether you voted for me or not, if you're here reading this, you care about the school. That's exactly who I wanted to build this for.

The role doesn't start until August, but I refused to wait. This site is up now because the listening should start now. Every idea you submit, every poll you vote in, every pulse you send — it all feeds into what we do from day one.

I made six commitments. I intend to keep every single one. You can track them on the Commitments page, and I'll update that page honestly — including when things are slow or haven't happened yet.
